Using the latest evidence-based practices, I strive to ensure that every individual receives high-quality, compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Hi I'm Jen...
Welcome to my site…
I am a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years of experience with a special interest in treating adults with trauma, eating disorders, weight management, and other mental health concerns. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary and have worked in both clinical and research settings throughout my career.
In 2009, after completing my registration, I joined Calgary Weight Management Centre (CWMC) as a Registered Psychologist. Over the past 15 years, I have been doing individual, group, and family therapy in the areas of health psychology, eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, addictions, and trauma.
Alongside my work at CWMC, I have maintained a private practice, supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including relationship issues, stress management, life transitions, spirituality, grief and loss, personality disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, family of origin work, and complex trauma.
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions for adults across Alberta. My in-person sessions are held in Calgary’s Midnapore neighborhood in the Southeast.
My Approach
I use current best practice guidelines for working with trauma, eating disorders and related concerns. I have a background in the theoretical orientations of humanistic, psychodynamic, solution focused, and parts work. I use a trauma-informed lens, along with an Embodied Recovery, Internal Family Systems, Polyvegal Theory, and attachment theory, amongst other modalities to inform my practice. My understanding of recent advances in neurobiology helps integrate different approaches to therapy. I have Advanced and Enhanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I integrate multiple therapeutic modalities to create personalized, effective treatment plans.
My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, helping individuals heal and grow at their own pace.
COMMITTED TO LIFE-LONG LEARNING...
With over 20 years of experience, I blend expertise with a passion for continuous learning.
Committed to professional development, I stay current with advanced training and evidence-based practices, ensuring clients receive the most effective, compassionate care for healing and growth.

I grew up in Ontario before moving to Calgary as a teenager. After completing my Undergraduate degree in Psychology, I began working in early psychosis research, taking on roles as a Psychometrician, Research Assistant, and Clinical Research Coordinator. While working in research, I pursued my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Calgary. My practicum placement at the University of Calgary Counselling Centre gave me hands-on experience in therapy and mental health support.
After graduating in 2004, I worked in an out-patient psychiatry teaching unit at Foothills Hospital, where I triaged patients and offered therapy while completing my requirements to become a Registered Psychologist.

In 2017, I expanded my practice by joining a multi-disciplinary Primary Care clinic, where I received referrals from Psychiatry, Family Doctors, and Physiotherapists. This role has allowed me to collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for individuals facing diverse psychological challenges.
